Melissa Oneil

MelissaMelissa Crystal O'Neil (born July 12, 1988[1]) is a Canadian actress and singer. O'Neil was the first Canadian female winner of Canadian Idol's 3rd season was awarded the title in 2005. O'Neil is best known as an actress due to her roles in the series Syfy as Two as Two RebeccaAs Two / Portia Lin and on ABC as Officer Lucy Chen in the ABC procedural drama series The Rookie. She was placed in the bottom three spots and two of the finals. After being shocked, judges recommended that viewers choose Melissa as the most loud contestant. O'Neil was acknowledged for her talent and she never dropped back to the third place. Zack Werner declared that O'Neil was "a threat" to win the whole competition. O'Neil, along with Rex Goudie made it to the finals on September 7th the 7th of September, 2005. Werner, a judge famously announced that the headlines of the next day's newspapers will be "The King [Kalan Porter] is dead. The Queen will live forever." O'Neil defeated Goudie in the final results showon September 14 in 2005. She was also named the third Canadian Idol and the first female winner.
